Woodside see profit jump by a quarter


Woodside (ASX:WPL) has recorded a full-year net profit after tax (NPAT) of $1.92 billion, an increase of 28 per cent from the prior corresponding period.

Production was 91.4 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe) and operating revenue was $5.24 billion.

EBITDA is at 3.814 billion up from $2.918 from last year.

Woodside has an oil project in Senegal targeted for a final investment decision this year, and plans for the large Scarborough, Pluto-2 and Browse gas projects in Western Australia in 2020.

The company produced 6 per cent of global LNG supply.

The directors have declared a final dividend of US 91 cents per share (cps), bringing the full-year dividend to US 144 cps.

Shares in Woodside (ASX:WPL) are trading 2.75 per cent higher to $35.82.
