Georgie Gardner takes the keys of Mosman home

Today show host Georgie Gardner and her investment banker husband Tim Baker have officially taken ownership of a six-bedroom home in Mosman.

Interestingly the settlement took place on December 19, the same day that her now former co-host Karl Stefanovic was sacked from the Nine Network’s breakfast show.

CoreLogic records also confirm that Gardner and Baker paid exactly $6 million for the 771sqm property.

The settlement follows the Beauty Point home selling in October after 515 days on the market through two different real estate agencies.

Designed by developer Mark Sydney, the house has 500sqm of internal living. Surrounded by lush gardens, it occupies prime real estate in Beauty Point, with Middle Harbour visible from the home.

The listing ad says that in addition to the main home, there are also two apartments on title. The courtyard apartment has a private entrance with north facing courtyard, while the other has fully integrated drop down double bed, living room with fireplace and kitchen and laundry.

Records show that the home previously traded hands in 1997 for $815,000.

Other features include two wine cellars with up to 2000 bottle capacity, solar panels, 12m swimming pool and teenage retreat.

Prior to rejoining Today, Gardner was a weekend newsreader for Channel 9 between 2009 and 2017.

Mr Baker is an investment banker at Boutique Capital. Prior to joining the funds management business, he worked for three years at Resource Super as their CEO.

The couple sold their former Federation home in Artarmon last year for $4.2 million — $1.58 million more than the suburb’s median sale price of $2.620 million.
