The Big Bash League finals kick off on Friday night with a do-or-die showdown between the Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers.
Brisbane upset the Perth Scorchers on the final day of the regular season to push the Strikers to the brink of elimination, until the Sydney Sixers spared them by beating the Melbourne Stars.
The Strikers must head north, facing Chris Lynn’s heat at the Gabba in The Eliminator for the right to progress into Sunday night’s knockout against the Sydney Thunder at Manuka Oval.
Play starts from 7.15pm AEDT, 6.15pm local time.

DRS not to be rushed in for BBL finals
The Strikers’ Ryan Gibson is racing to be fit for the contest after suffering a hamstring injury against the Thunder on Monday night. the Strikers are otherwise unchanged.
Meanwhile, the Heat’s 18-man squad is also unchanged.
LAST TIME THEY MET
The Heat have a major score to settle after Adelaide won both encounters this season — the first in a close contest and the second in a blowout.
In December, the Strikers got home by just two runs, while a century from Alex Carey earlier this month helped seal a comprehensive 82-run win.
There is only a small chance of rain falling in Brisbane on Friday night.
As of 6pm (AEDT), the Bureau of Meteorology was forecasting a 10 per cent chance of 0-2mm of rain in the Queensland capital.
