‘A road trip to escape the Australian winter chill’

We had decided on two nights in each country town, as we were staying in cabins and it gave us a chance to experience the charm each town had to offer. In Narrabri we drove 50 kilometres east to Mount Kaputar National Park. A 20km narrow winding road, 5km of it gravel, climbing up towards beautiful vistas. There are towering forests, breathtaking rock formations and stunning scenery. It’s an explorer’s paradise. Most lookouts are accessible from the carparks. We were blessed with a sunny day. It was well worth the visit.
